Friends of the Internet, Hello.

I am so so excited to start this journey on the World Race, and have you all come with me. If anyone happens to read this, some of you might be asking yourself, “Why? Why Camden? Why would you leave your friends and family for 11 months to go to foreign countries where you will live out of a backpack, and sleep in places you’re still unsure of.” Good question. My answer, why not.

Since I was a wee girl, I have always had a travel bug. At 21 I was able to study abroad and confirm my soul was meant to explore. I hear you thinking, “Camden you have major anxiety. You couldn’t even sleep away from home until you were 13.” Listen, I get it. I have always grown up a worry bug, but since meeting Jesus I am able to push past the noise and get out into the world. Along with a bug for travel, I have had a heart to help. Oh boy, my bones rattle with excitement at the thought of the work we will be doing out on the field.

Looking back, I can see that everything I have been up to my whole life, all my passions, fears, over-comings, have all lead to this. I was meant for a trip like this. Although some days will be extremely hard, and the fear will creep in, I get to rest in the fact I have an amazing Savior on my side, and He called me to this.

Til’ next time, Internet Friends.

  5. Cammie,
A worthy and needed world effort you are undertaking. I was at a fundraiser with your Dad several years ago, and a local philanthropist shared a message of hope – “If everyone mentored just one other person, most of the problems in our world would go away”.

The lives you will touch will be a life-long gift to another and to yourself. We are so proud of the example you set!

    Love and Best Wishes,
    Vin and Laura

  6. What an adventure! Takes a lot of courage to take on such an endeavor. Safe travels!
