And the inevitable happened…

The 11 month journey begins! 29 hours, 2 planes, and a 6 hour bus ride and we made it to Romania. The day before we left we got covid tested and they were all negative..Praise God. We left for Romania in the morning, flew to Paris for a layover, flew to Bucharest, then took a bus ride to Craiova (Cry-o-va). Travel day was long, but that is not even where the fun began.

Sometime while we were in the air on the plane over to Romania, America turned from a yellow country to a red country (red means no one from America is allowed into Romania). We made the cut off to get into the country by an hour (Again, Paise God). We got to our hosts house, and instantly people started coming down with fevers. We got separated into our rooms and started preparing for what could come. The next morning three people got tested for COVID.. Positive. The results were almost immediate. Lockdown began. One by one others started to feel sick. We are at 17 Covid positives as I write this blog, BUT some negatives. Some of us feel like we have a cold, others are worse, but luckily most of us have the vaccine making COVID much more bearable.

Covid has been a huge fear of mine considering my heart conditions (SVT) and I started to feel symptoms when we landed. Day 7 I got tested.. Positive. My first few days of being sick were tough. I’m vaccinated and truly believe the vaccine has helped me so much. I feel like I have a cold, but haven’t broken a fever. I was having some trouble with my heart the first, feeling nauseous, having some irregular heart beats, and was so dizzy. My whole squad laid hands on me and prayed over my body before we left and I have never felt such freedom since getting SVT last year. During worship that night was the first time I have been able to dance hard and not have an episode. Since those prayers I have had mild heart symptoms that go away with prayer. Keep me in your prayers that I continue to have mild symptoms!

All of us are on the up, and close to being out of quarantine. Pray for all negative test this weekend as we are hoping to get out on the town! That’s all for now folks. Be on the look out for a day in the life of quarantined in Craiova!
